Not only will we see Karen Gillan as alien villainess Nebula in the Guardians Of The Galaxy, she's also starring in horror movie Oculus, the recently released DVD of Not Another Happy Ending and now she's landed the lead role in a new ABC comedy, Selfie.

The Doctor Who alum will play Eliza Dooley, a self-obsessed woman who is more concerned with "likes" than being liked. But when she becomes the subject of a viral video made after a humiliating public breakup, she hires a marketing expert at her company to help restore her image.Selfie is inspired by My Fair Lady, Emily Kapnek will write and executive-produce the show.
The pilot episode will go before the cameras soon, if successful it will join the 2014/15 US TV season.
With David Tennant set to star in Gracepoint for FOX, Matt Smith in Ryan Gosling's How To Catch A Monster, Billie Piper in Showtime's Penny Dreadful and Freema Agyeman in The CW's The Carrie Diaries, it's good to see so many talented ex-Doctor Who cast members getting attention stateside.
