In the wake of the tragic news of Paul Walker's death last Saturday Universal have decided to shut down work on Fast & Furious 7. The studio released this statement....
"Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers. At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise. We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious
fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we
have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our
dear friend Paul Walker".
Yesterday it was announced that a portion of the profits from the US Blu-Ray/DVD release of Fast & Furious 6 will be donated to Paul's Reach Out Worldwide charity, and on the back of that Universal released this video tribute to Paul Walker...
Paul Walker's family appreciates the outpouring of love and goodwill
from his many fans and friends. They have asked, in lieu of flowers or
other gifts, that donations please be made to Paul's charity Reach Out
Worldwide (ROWW). Donations can easily be made through their website at http://www.ROWW.org/.
