The two Angelina Jolie movies never really captured the spirit of Lara Croft and the supposed reboot has been stuck in development for years, but there is another Tomb Raider film, and you can watch it for free!
Croft is a 20 minute fan produced mini movie, it tells the story of a woman who will risk everything to save a young girl held hostage in the mountains by a group of mercenaries. Inspired by the Tomb Raider video games among others along with some of the great action movies from the 80's.
Starring Cassandra Ebner, Liam Carter, Devyn Dalton, Nickolas Baric, Shaw Madson and Brad Friesen. Directed by Trevor Addie and co-written by Addie and Irma Leong. The film was released on August 19th 2013 and has won quite a bit of praise including 3 nominations at the Action On Film Fest: those were for Best Director, Best Short Action Film and Female Action Performer of the Year.
