Filming on the pilot episode of The Flash is due to begin next week. We've had many casting announcements and details about the show, and now The CW have released the first official image of the shows star, Grant Gustin, as The Flash.
The costume is designed by 3 time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, who also designed the costume for Oliver Queen on Arrow.
What do you all think? I like it.
Grant Gustin will star as Barry Allen, Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Iris's father, Detective West, Michelle Harrison as Barry's mother Nora Allen, Rick Gosnett as Central City Police Detective Eddie Thawne, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, Danielle Panabaker as S.T.A.R. Labs bioengineer Caitlin Snow, Tom Cavanagh as S.T.A.R. Labs CEO Harrison Wells, and John Wesley Shipp, from the original 1990s The Flash TV series, in an unspecified role. Any guesses what that could be? We think either he's Barry Allen's Dad, or the original comic book Flash, Jay Garrick.
Hopefully The Flash will make it past the pilot stage and be picked up for a series. If so it will debut in the 2014/15 US television season.
