Guy Ritchie's new take on The Man From U.N.C.L.E. now has itself a release date.
Based on the classic 1960s show of the same name, the updated version will star The Lone Ranger, Superman and The Love Actually Prime Minister! Or as they are more commonly referred to, Armie Hammer, Henry Cavill and Hugh Grant.
Warner Brothers have announced the picture will arrive in cinemas on January 15th 2015, a traditional dumping ground time for movies that aren't quite up to spec. We will have to wait until then to see if it's any good, personally I don't hold out a lot of hope but then I was not a fan of Guy Ritchie's take on Sherlock Holmes so I already have reservations about this.
Set in the early 1960s, CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Cavill) and KGB operative Illya Kuryakin (Hammer) participate in a joint mission against a mysterious criminal organization, which is working to proliferate nuclear weapons.
The movie also co-stars the brilliant Jared Harris (Fringe) and is rumoured to feature an appearance by David Beckham.
