Arriving at platform 9¾ on the 28th November this year, is the new big
screen adaptation of Paddington Bear. The nice people at TWC-Dimension have released the first teaser trailer, which you can watch right here...
The movie stars stars Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Julie Walters and someone we've never heard of called Peter Capaldi (? - Who could that be!).
Paddington himself is played by Colin Firth. That is to say Colin Firth is providing the voice of a CGI
Paddington, as opposed to him
being stuffed inside some kind of old-Ewok style costume. Although we'd
pay to see that!
Paddington follows the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear with
a passion for all things British, who travels to London in search of a
home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to
realise that city life is not all he had imagined - until he meets the
kindly Brown family, who read the label around his neck ('Please look
after this bear. Thank you.') and offer him a temporary haven. It looks
as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the
eye of a museum taxidermist.
Ouch!
Paddington arrives on November 28th in the UK and December 12th in the US.
