So after filming The Day Of The Doctor, Matt Smith shot off Stateside to make a little movie for Ryan Gosling (his directorial debut BTdubs). Smith shaved his head for the part and ended up having to wear a wig for The Time Of The Doctor (but it gave us a fantastic joke that we loved, so that's fine with us).
Anyhow, that movie is called Lost River and we've got our first look at it today in this short teaser clip. But honest to God, I have literally no idea what the hell I've just watched! Matt Smith is rapping about his muscles, and seems to scare away the dude from Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. To be honest, it's just really odd! Take a look and decide for yourself...
I don't believe 'Lost River' is a Melody Pond reference, but quite frankly it could be anything, couldn't it?
A genre-spanning fantasy noir, Lost River sees young Billy (Iain De Caestecker) and his mother (Christina Hendricks) swept into a fantasy underworld.Lost River premieres tomorrow in Cannes, so far the only listed release dates for it are 2nd October in Denmark and 30th October in Netherlands. I'm currently not planning a vacation to catch this one!
