Back in the day when I'd see all the Atari games on the shelf they looked soooooo amazing, so full of promise. But get them home and the actual game itself was usually little more a couple of coloured pixel sprites and blocks on the screen. Those cover artists certainly earned their pay, dreaming up some very over the top designs.
