Today In DOCTOR WHO History: July 23rd

It's heartbreaking, isn't it?

July 23rd is another one of those days in Doctor Who history when no new episodes of Doctor Who, any of its spin-offs or related shows have received the debut broadcast. As you can see, the Third Doctor is quite sad about that and has decided to take a gloomy walk in the rain to contemplate the predicament we find ourselves in - i.e. publishing a daily column with no actual episodes to include within it!

So to cheer the Third Doctor up, why not join him in watching some bloke called Jon Pertwee in a rare early 1960s cinema ad informing the public all about the wonders of Mullard's line of electric valves! And whilst you're at it, marvel at Jon's multitasking - smoking a cigarette whilst setting up the wireless...

They don't come cooler than that...

Join us again tomorrow when we actually have some Doctor Who episodes to round-up. Honest.
