September 4th
Ah, Season 14, you spectacular year you. Shall we get you underway today? OK then, we'll zoom back to 1976 and kick off our daily round-up of the episodes broadcast throughout Doctor Who's long history with part one of The Masque of Mandragora. 8.3 million people were sitting comfortably that fine Saturday evening whilst the Fourth Doctor tried to work out where he left his Jelly Babies.

Born September 4th 1975 and known to Torchwood fans as Rhys Williams, Kai Owen celebrates his birthday today.

Happy birthday to you.

Join us again tomorrow for another round-up of the episodes broadcast, the spin-offs, the special events, the birthday's celebrated and anything else of note that went down on this day in Doctor Who history.
