Today In DOCTOR WHO History: October 26th

Look at him! He's just so ridiculously young.

October 26th
We're mixing it up today in Doctor Who history. Rather than starting with the episodes broadcast from the parent show, we have a very special spin-off episode first in the form of the second part of the 2010 The Sarah Jane Adventures story Death of the Doctor. 0.96 million CBBC viewers found out that - spoiler alert - he didn't die! But, with the greatest respect to the two ladies flanking him, my lord doesn't Matt Smith look young up there?

Episodes Broadcast
Yes, there were actual Doctor Who episodes which received their premiere broadcast on October 26th. Two of them to be exact, and both from our favourite spoon-playing Doctor. Starting with part four of Paradise Towers which was broadcast in 1987 and watched by 5 million viewers. The following year the fourth and final part of Remembrance of the Daleks had the exact same amount of viewers.

Join us again tomorrow for another round-up of the episodes broadcast, the spin-offs aired, the special events, the birthday's celebrated and anything else of note that went down on this day in Doctor Who history.
