Tragedy! when the feeling's gone and you can't go in it's a tragedy....

October 27th
Remember that time Lady Adrasta auditioned for Steps?

Either that or it's part one of The Creature from the Pit which gets us underway for another round-up of the episodes which received their premiere broadcast today, October 27th, across the years in Doctor Who history. And sadly, even though the Fourth Doctor adventure was broadcast over 40 years ago - on October 27th 1979 at 6:02pm and watched by 9.30 million viewers - our round-up is pretty much over before its begun as no other episode of Doctor Who has been broadcast on this day before or since.

Thank heavens for The Sarah Jane Adventures then...

Spin-Offs
...Because also on this day in Doctor Who history we have episode two of The Sarah Jane Adventures story Secrets of the Stars. Broadcast in 2008 at 4:35pm and watched by 1.21 million viewers, that really does wrap it up for today.

Join us again tomorrow for another round-up of the episodes broadcast, the spin-offs aired, the special events, the birthday's celebrated and anything else of note that went down on this day in Doctor Who history.
