Today In DOCTOR WHO History: April 29th

K-9's guts fall out today in Doctor Who history...

Welcome to our daily round-up of the Doctor Who episodes which received their premiere broadcast on this day throughout the show's long history, along with anything else of note that may have taken place. You can click on any red text to read our full retrospectives/reviews for that episode, and note that all viewing figures listed are for UK broadcasts (unless otherwise stated).

April 29th
We start today back  in 1967 for episode 4 of the Second Doctor story The Faceless Ones, this installment was watched by 6.9 million viewers and just like parts 2, 5 & 6 is now sadly missing from the archives. Then in 1972 we have part four of the Third Doctor story The Mutants drawing an audience of 7.5 million.

Moving on to the Who of the New variety, and first up it's 2006's School Reunion. 8.31 million caught the Tenth Doctor hot-wiring K-9 so Sarah Jane could watch Sky Movies for free. Then in 2017 the Twelfth Doctor was on Thin Ice (Sky were clearly on to his earlier shenanigans). 5.61 million viewers took baby steps with him.

Join us again tomorrow for another round-up of the episodes broadcast, the spin-offs aired, the special events, the birthday's celebrated and anything else of note that went down on this day in Doctor Who history.
