It wouldn’t be wrong to say that HBO has changed cable TV forever. When the network was introduced, it started to experiment with original programming and although most of the shows were comedies, there were some groundbreaking hits as well such as The Larry Sanders Show. However, it was the late ‘90s when HBO stepped up a notch and invented ‘Prestige TV’ by producing series like The Sopranos and The Wire. Both of these shows were unlike anything the world has ever seen before. The network is now globally known for its highly original, creative, and quality TV shows. HBO is home to many incredible programs. This article is going to list five of them that are definitely worth a watch.

Six Feet Under is a show about death. The program depicts the death of every character that came to the funeral home one fateful week. This show generated a huge buzz all across the country not just for its captivating storyline but also for the amazing performances of the cast members. It was created by Alan Ball who is also behind another hit series True Blood.
