Today In STAR TREK History: June 5th

Guilty!
Welcome to our round-up of the Star Trek episodes which received their premiere broadcast on this day throughout the show's long history, along with anything else of note that may have taken place. All viewing figures quoted are for U.S. premiere broadcast (unless noted).

June 5th
On this day in 1994, Chief O'Brien (Colm Meaney) found himself declared guilty of an unspecified crime (eventually accused of working with the Maquis) and later "tried" on Cardassia Prime. The penultimate episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's second season (and the 45th episode overall from the series run), Tribunal was the first episode directed by cast member Avery Brooks (Commander Benjamin Sisko), and provided a look at the Cardassian judicial system where the legal status of the accused is determined before the trial even begins: guilty!

Join us again next time for another round-up of the episodes broadcast, the movie's released, the special events, the birthday's celebrated and anything else of note that went down on this day in Star Trek history.
