Wa-hey! Season 2 of Star Trek: Lower Decks gets underway today, August 12th 2021, with an episode titled Strange Energies.

Star Trek: Lower Decks was originally commissioned for two season back in October 2018, with the first season premiering on CBS All Access on August 6th 2020. That streaming service has now been rebadged to Paramount+, but the good news is, even before season two begins, Lower Decks was renewed for a third season in April 2021.
