Why is this on our radar?
Well we shall tell you.
Three reasons.
1. Story wise, Cooties is about a group of school teachers who must fight for their lives when a mysterious virus hits an isolated elementary school, transforming the kids into a feral swarm of mass savages. So it's a horror then?
2. Cast wise, Cooties is very impressive. Boasting a fantastic ensemble with some real comedy talent including Rainn Wilson, Jack McBrayer, Elijah Wood, Alison Pill and Jorge Garcia. So it's a comedy horror then?
3. Writer wise, Cooties was written by Leigh Whannell (SAW) and Ian Brennan (co-creator of GLEE!). So it's a horror comedy musical then?
Well we don't believe they will burst into any Journey, but you never know. It really does seem like an interesting premise for a film. Are the teachers gonna beat the crap out of a bunch of 7 year old's? Well they may just have to do the unthinkable if they are gonna survive.
It's due out on October 10th in the USA, we haven't heard of a UK release date for it as yet but will keep you informed of any updates.
