"George was so clear as to how that works. The canon that he created was the Star Wars saga. Right now, Episode VII falls within that canon. The spin-off movies, or we may come up with some other way to call those films, they exist within that vast universe that he created. There is no attempt being made to carry characters in and out of the saga episodes. Consequently, from the creative standpoint, it’s a road map that George made pretty clear."Kennedy also said that "The characters in the spin-offs will not appear in Saga episodes", which seems to imply we won't be getting a Han Solo spin-off movie in the near future. Our best guess from that would be we will see either a Yoda or Boba Fett film, being that both of them are unlikely to show up in Episode VII.
Alternatively Kennedy could've meant that we wouldn't be seeing any of the actors in the spin-offs, which would tie in to the rumour that they will be origin stories with re-cast younger characters.
