We've known for some time that we will be getting some stand alone Star Wars movies between the run of new sequels currently in production. It was always thought that these movies would offer more screen time to some of the more popular characters in the Star Wars universe, with rumors of a Han Solo, Yoda, Jar Jar Binks (we're kidding!) or Boba Fett movie being the most likely.
But we'd never had any actual confirmation exactly which characters those movies would focus on.
Well in the new AMC Movie Talk video Cartoon Network's Jon Schnepp has revealed this interesting bit of news...
“One of them is Boba Fett. It is. I know. I know for a fact, I will never reveal my source, but it is the one written by Lawrence Kasdan.”Interesting indeed. Lawrence Kasdan is good news for any Star Wars fan!
Kasdan is currently on scripting duties (along with JJ Abrams) for Star Wars Episode VII, and he was the man who wrote the screenplay for The Empire Strikes Back, which first introduced us properly to Boba Fett (we're talking before George did his tinkering with A New Hope).
Could this be a prequel story set after Attack Of The Clones when young Boba picked up his Father's helmet, or will it be set during the new run of films as Boba emerges from the Sarlacc pit with vengeance on his mind?
