Back on January 12th we ran an article about Adam Driver meeting up with JJ Abrams for a potential role in Star Wars Episode VII. Well it looks like JJ was impressed because a report from Variety claims he is close to signing a deal to play the films main villain.
Sources say that scheduling issues with Driver's HBO show 'Girls' have been resolved and that a multiple movie deal should be finalized in the coming days. This would be the first cast member to be revealed for the new Star Wars trilogy, which is due to open in cinemas on December 18th 2015.
Exact details of Driver's character are unknown, but it is said to be in the vein of iconic Star Wars villain Darth Vader.
