Good news indeed! The BBC confirmed today that The Musketeers will return for a second series of swashbuckling fun!
Luke Pasqualino, Tom Burke, Santiago Cabrera and Howard Charles star as as D'Artagnan, Athos, Aramis and Porthos and they will all return for season 2.
One of the shows stars who will not be returning is Peter Capaldi. He has work commitments to another little show you may have heard of, Doctor Who. In an interview with The Radio Times Tom Burke confirmed, "It was a gradual realisation that he wouldn't be able to do the second series and people are now very excited about who the next villain will be so that's going to bring a new energy. Hopefully he'll be as good as Peter was."
Series creator Adrian Hodges said, "I'm completely thrilled to be able to continue the journey we have begun on The Musketeers. Writing and helping produce the show has been one of the greatest challenges and joys of my professional life."
