'Elementary' is the name of a Sherlock Holmes convention going on right now in Birmingham. The main draw is Sherlock himself, Benedict Cumberbatch, who will be appearing tomorrow at the three day event. But an interesting bit of news has emerged from today's panel featuring comic and screenwriter Tony Lee.
Lee revealed that he has an American TV show in development called The Last Moriarty. Set in modern day USA, the show will focus on a descendant of Professor Moriarty, who discovers that he is the last surviving male heir and that he has inherited the centuries old Moriarty criminal empire.
Lee did not reveal anything else about the show, which is clearly in a very early stage of development, but Jonny Lee Miller's 'Elementary' has proved to be a big hit for CBS so it's quite reasonable to think that the US may want more from the world of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
