JEFF GOLDBLUM talks Independence Day 2 & Jurassic World

If I was in charge of the world, and I'm working on it, then the first command I would declare would be to put Jeff Goldblum in every single film that ever gets made.

Every couple of weeks I pull out a random Goldblum movie and watch it again for about the millionth time. The man has been doing the business now for 40 glorious years, but I need more new Goldblum in my DVD collection.

So any news on upcoming movies he's linked to is always of interest, and with sequels planned for 2 of his biggest movies, I have high hopes of getting me some new Goldblum.

While promoting his new film, Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel, Goldblum was asked about Independence Day 2. We'd heard his name mentioned by ID2 director Roland Emmerich, who claimed most of the original cast, minus Will Smith, would return for the belated sequel. Good news, Jeff confirmed it...
"Yeah, they've talked to me about it and I've talked to them about it and they're excited and I'm anxious and eager to see -- I haven't read anything -- what they cook up. You know, I think they're trying to put it together."
I've been holding out hope for a small Goldblum cameo in the upcoming Jurassic World. We already know that the lead cast consists of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, but would Goldblum return to the character of Ian Malcolm one more time?
"Yeah, and they haven't called me for 4."
Pick up the phone Colin Trevorrow, do the right thing. It sounds as if Goldblum would do it as well if he was asked, he revealed the only reason he wasn't in Jurassic Park 3 was...
"Nobody asked me."
Nobody freakin' asked Jeff Goldblum? Oh Hollywood, what is wrong with you?

More Jeff Goldblum news as we get it!
