The new animated Star Wars Rebels series is set between the events of Episode III and IV, in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights. The show focuses on small band of rebel fighters who are determined to stop the Empire.

Jedi News got hold of a Disney shareholder letter confirming that a Star Wars Rebels movie is coming this summer to the Disney Channel. They will also show a series of Star Wars Rebels shorts, with the continuing series following on Disney XD.
