Inspector SpaceTime began as a few short sketches of Who parody in the NBC comedy Community. Eventually it spawned it's own web series, to avoid any legal issues with both NBC and the BBC it was re-badged to Untitled Web Series About a Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time. That web series proved so popular that the creators are now planning a big screen movie titled Untitled Motion Picture About a Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time.
It gets even more interesting because the 7th Doctor himself, Sylvester McCoy just signed up for the film!
Not only will 'the Professor' be appearing in the movie but other guest stars include Robert Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager), Chase Masterson (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Big Finish: Doctor Who) and Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory).
The crew behind Inspector SpaceTime have launched an indiegogo crowdfunding page to raise $25,000, the rest of the budget is coming from private investors. An 8 minute prequel to the movie has already been produced and you can watch it below. Do watch it, because one of the guest stars appears at the end...
