Steve Coogan has appeared in quite a few big Hollywood movies now, Tropic Thunder, Night At The Museum 2 and Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief to name but 3. However his most popular creation, Alan Partridge, has never really made it big Stateside.
I expect this is timed to coincide with the recent Oscar nomination for Philomena, because BBC Films & StudioCanal have announced that Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa is finally getting a limited US theater release from April 4th .
They've re-badged it!
Now just simply titled Alan Partridge, it also comes with the bizarre tag line...
"Someone is trying to kill Alan. You'll wish it was you."
I'm not sure that really sells the movie to someone who doesn't know the character!
Anyway, pray silence please, for the new US trailer...
Will Americans get Alan? Or, as the poster says, will they just want to kill him?
