We've known about these planned Star Wars spin-off movies for some time now. Focusing on one character and set outside of the main sequel trilogy, they are scheduled to be released in the years between installments - i.e. 2016 and 2018.
During The Walt Disney Company quarterly earnings stockholders call today, CEO Bob Iger offered an update on the planned Star Wars spin-off movies. He is quoted as saying that there are "at least three" spin-off movies in development. Previously Iger, and others, have only said there were two, which are being written by Simon Kinberg and Lawrence Kasdan.
It's long been rumoured that one of these spin-offs would feature Boba Fett, and I would have no problem with that at all!!! Sign me up.
