Someone's getting the sack, that's for sure!
The first five scripts from Doctor Who series 8 have leaked online. They are believed to have come from the BBC Worldwide office in Miami, where they were due to be translated for the Latin America market.
They are out there in internet land if you want to find them, but we're not putting them up here. It's one thing to have some partial filming spoilers, which usually end up providing more speculation than actual confirmation, but to have this much factual information this far in advance - uh huh, no way, I'll wait for broadcast thank you.
BBC Worldwide released a statement via The Radio Times:
BBC Worldwide is currently investigating a security issue around Doctor Who Series 8 where unfinished material has inadvertently been made public. We deeply regret this and apologise to all the show's fans, the BBC and the cast and crew who have worked tirelessly making the series. We would like to make a plea to anyone who might have any of this material and spoilers associated with it not to share it with a wider audience so that everyone can enjoy the show as it should be seen when it launches. We know only too well that Doctor Who fans are the best in the world and we thank them for their help with this and their continued loyalty.It also appears that the actual episodes were online too, but only for a very brief amount of time and it looks unlikely that anyone managed to download them - "phew" says Steven Moffat!

You may remember that back in 2005 a few weeks before the broadcast of 'Rose' the almost complete episode appeared online, leaked from a Canadian broadcast partner. Heads rolled then, heads will roll now!
