The 2015 Movie Preview - April / May

What movies do we have to look forward to in April and May 2015? Well there's this...

Avengers: Age Of Ultron
Clearly destined to destroy everything in its path, much like Ultron himself, the Avengers return to the multiplex in their second epic battle.

When Tony Stark jumpstarts a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as they battle to save the planet from destruction at the hands of the villainous Ultron.

Avengers: Age of Ultron arrives in UK cinemas on April 24th 2015 in the UK, and May 1st 2015 in the US.

Furious 7
April 3rd sees the latest installment in the unstoppable franchise built on speed. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of (Fast &) Furious 7. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series that also welcomes back favorites Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. They are joined by international action stars new to the franchise including Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Russell.

Mad Max: Fury Road
An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max (Tom Hardy), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

There's no Mel Gibson, there's no Tina Turner, but it looks damn good...

...We will find out on May 15th if it lives up to the trailer.

Pitch Perfect 2
OK, so this ones a little bit different, but if you've seen the first film then you know it was a whole load of fun, plus there's Elizabeth Banks and Anna Kendricks!

This time the Collegiate a cappella group, the Barden Bellas, enter into an international competition that no American team has ever won. Elizabeth Banks is directing this, her debut behind the camera, and it arrives in cinemas on May 15th.

Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland is a mystery adventure starring George Clooney, and is kinda based on the idea of the Tomorrowland section of the Walt DisneyWorld Theme Park.

Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.

There are two words that make me want to see Tomorrowland - Brad Bird! Yes, Brad Bird, he of The Incredibles and Ian Giant fame, is the man behind the camera and has co-wrote the screenplay. Which means that come May 22nd I will no doubt be watching this..

So which of these movies are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments below, and come back tomorrow when we check out the months of June and July 2015.
