How Much Do We Love This LEGO Star Wars UCS X34 Landspeeder? LOTS!
There's a lot of LEGO Star Wars out there, over 200 officially released products and countless others submitted to LEGO Ideas. So they have to be really special to attract our attention - here's one that is just that.
It's how Luke Skywalker’s X34 Landspeeder might look like if it were brand new off the assembly line from the Sorosuub Corporation (via Lego of course) in UCS scale - that's 'Ultimate Collectors Series'. Submitted to LEGO Ideas by Psyence aka Aaron Fiskum, it's already getting a lot of support (at the time of writing 3500 and counting), but needs your help to make it to the 10000 vote threshold.
At 2798 pieces (including the stand), the Star Wars UCS X34 Landspeeder measures 22.5 inches in length, 15.5 inches wide and 14.5 inches high with the stand. This is a major set, and the attention to detail is fantastic.
I really love the use of the smooth-surfaced LEGO tile pieces contrasted against the traditional studded LEGO panels. It gives the whole model a really interesting textural look.
Aaron reviewed pictures of Landspeeder toys, images on the web, watched snippets of “A New Hope”, and read over schematics on Star Wars wikis for vehicle statistics. In collaboration from those sources, the final build was put together.
So if you like this design as much as we do, pop over to its page on LEGO Ideas (here) and show this one some love, and you can check out loads more images of the LEGO Star Wars UCS X34 Landspeeder here.
