That Time Daniel Craig Had A Bowl Cut And Starred In A Disney Film

Geek Dave pops down the barbers.

Ah. Remember when Daniel Craig was cast as James Bond and everybody went freaking nuts because he was blonde? Can you imagine the uproar if he'd still been sporting this fine bowl cut he had in the mid-90s Disney flick A Kid In King Arthur's Court.

Yes, our current Bond, the man who starred in the biggest British film of all time, was once a young Disney star. I say Disney star but it's quite likely you've never seen A kid In King Arthur's Court, and I expect Mr Craig would like to keep it that way. It's pants!

"Pssst. Don't tell anyone I'm in this."

By 1995 Craig had already had several small roles in things like The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Heartbeat, Sharpe and Boon, but Disney came knocking and regardless of quality it's hard to say no to 'the mouse', especially when you're just starting out in the business. And so a year before his first real role of note, as Geordie Peacock in Our Friends In The North, Craig played Master Kane in the little known Disney flick.

And it's two-for-one day, as A Kid In King Arthur's Court also starred a pre-Titanic Kate Winslet as Princess Sarah...

Of course, Daniel Craig isn't the only Bond who got an early career boost from Disney. Here's Sean Connery singing a little tune in 1959's Darby O'Gill And The Little People...

Gonna have that stuck in my head all day now!
