Today In DOCTOR WHO History: June 24th

It's a bumper day for Doctor Who...

Welcome to our daily round-up of the Doctor Who episodes which received their premiere broadcast on this day throughout the show's long history, along with anything else of note that may have taken place. You can click on any red text to read our full retrospectives/reviews for that episode, and note that all viewing figures listed are for UK broadcasts (unless otherwise stated).

June 24th
We have four episodes of Doctor Who that have been broadcast on this day in the show's long history.

First up, it's the penultimate episode of The Evil of the Daleks which was broadcast on this day in 1967. Part six of the Second Doctor adventure was watched by 6.8 million viewers. Then in 1972 it was time for another episode six, this time from the Third Doctor story The Time Monster, which drew an audience of 7.6 million.

As we move in to Who of the modern variety, the much maligned Fear Her is our first stop. The Tenth Doctor adventure was broadcast back in 2006 at 7:02pm and watched by 7.14 million viewers.

Also on this day the Twelfth Doctor's era was nearing an end. World Enough And Time premiered in 2017 at 6:45pm, and 5 million viewers were there to watch it.

Join us again tomorrow for another round-up of the episodes broadcast, the spin-offs, the special events, the birthday's celebrated and anything else of note that went down on this day in Doctor Who history.
