When thinking about fast-paced competitive gaming, people usually go to a couple of famous titles that have the highest market share right now: Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, also known as PUBG. Both of these games are in their prime right now, even though there are some new changes and updates that caused a massive uproar in the gamer community.
When it comes to PUBG, the gamer community is pretty much equally appealed by its desktop and mobile versions. In fact, PUBG Mobile counts more players in total than its desktop counterpart, mostly because it is much easier to run the game on a smartphone (and a lot of people own compatible smartphones) than on a PC with heavy-duty gaming specs.
When PUBG was originally launched, it only had one map called Erangel. But since then, a lot has changed, and among those changes, there’s the addition of new maps. Today, you can play four different maps in PUBG Mobile: Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Vikendi. Besides Erangel, Miramar is also one of the most-played maps in the game, and I certainly am one of its frequent users.
Killing it on Miramar
Miramar is this Central American-style terrain that is set mostly in the desert. There are numerous urban, as well as rural areas, that offer players either the refuge or a place where the gunfire is concentrated. Unlike Erangel, Miramar doesn’t have lots of trees and bushes that can provide cover, however, if needs be, one can pretty successfully use them as a cover.

Therefore, instead of choosing very crowded areas, it would be a much better choice for you to land in more distant places, get a decent loot, and then go towards the center of the map, slowly but steadily killing the adversaries. Notable options in that sense can be Impala, El Pozo, Chumacera, etc. These are still populated areas, yet they are more towards the outer edges of the map and aren’t as likely to get crowded than center-points.
Use the land to your advantage
One of the key characteristics of Miramar is its mixed terrain. On the one hand, there are these open desert plains that stretch in a far distance. If you happen to end up in such an area without a vehicle or any type of cover, you can consider yourself dead should anyone notice you from afar with a good scope.
On the other hand, however, there are also deep troughs and canyons that can easily give you a huge advantage over your enemy. It is these areas that you need to use to your advantage as much as possible. Wherever you find a large mountain or a canyon, try to get on top of it and have a huge vantage point and take as many sniper shots as possible. However, it’s also crucial to keep in mind that you still need a covering object at a higher point; without that, you’ll be just as easy target for the players on lower fields.
Get a sniper and a good scope
Since Miramar is this open-field map, it’s practically no-brainer to get a decent sniper, such as Kar98, and attach at least 4x scope to it. These areas, as noted above, have no dense vegetation that would render long-distance scoping impossible, which is why a good sniper and a decent scope are your friends on Miramar.
Some additional tips
Besides these fundamental pieces of advice, there are other tips that would potentially help you get the chicken dinner on Miramar. One of such tips is to always have a vehicle in the vicinity. There have been too many cases when I had to sprint thousands of miles from the edge of the map to the zone, which is not the best gaming experience in PUBG. It’s also a good idea to abstain from proning, mainly because the open field and no grass aren’t going to cover your body.
