Aug 2nd
Ah, so although we don't have any actual televisual episodes that were broadcast on August 2nd, Doctor Who still has something quite special of note that occurred on this day.

The BBCi service premiered the animated Sixth Doctor adventure Real Time at 12pm on Friday August 2nd 2002. Mind you, as most people had 56k dial-up internet connections back then, chances are it was the following day by the time it had buffered.

Produced by Big Finish and starring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor, joined by his audio companion Evelyn Smith (Maggie Stables), although only the first 12 minutes was released on this day you can watch the whole thing below...

Join us again tomorrow for another round-up of the episodes broadcast, the spin-offs, the special events, the birthday's celebrated and anything else of note that went down on this day in Doctor Who history.
