By the power of Greyskull! A new HE-MAN film edges close to a greenlight

There we were just the other day considering which classic kids TV shows we'd like to see remade today and we completely overlooked the mighty He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe.

I'm Adam, Prince of Eternia

We all loved the cartoon version which ran for 65 episodes between 1983 and 1985, and we all were all quite disappointment with the poor Dolph Lundgren big screen adaptation from 1987. But it's ripe material for a remake today, in fact a new version has been stuck in development hell for ages.

Those nice people over at Schmoes Knows are reporting that a new version is getting much closer to happening. We know that Terry Rosio is writing a script, this was reported some months back, but today we've learned that Sony have a short list of potential directors for the project and they are talking with Joe Cornish, Rian Johnson, Andy Muschietti, Kirk DeMicco & Chris Sanders and Phil Lord and Chris Miller. All fine names indeed.

It's early days but Adam may be defending the secrets of Castle Greyskull once again.

We'll keep you updated with any more potential He-Man movie news.
