The pilot episode of The Flash is currently filming in Canada, and we've discovered some fan shot video and images of a scene involving Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) fleeing an exploding vehicle.
First off here's the video of the explosion...
Now here's some fan shot images of him running from the wreckage, and either throwing himself to the ground, or possibly stumbling because he can't control his speed...
I appreciate that in a still image it's hard to imagine him as 'the fastest man alive' but all the same, I'm really looking forward to this show. Are you?
Grant Gustin stars as Barry Allen, Candice Patton is Iris West, Jesse L. Martin is Iris's father, Detective West, Michelle Harrison is Barry's mother Nora Allen, Rick Gosnett is Central City Police Detective Eddie Thawne, Carlos Valdes is Cisco Ramon, Danielle Panabaker is S.T.A.R. Labs bio-engineer Caitlin Snow, Tom Cavanagh is S.T.A.R. Labs CEO Harrison Wells, and John Wesley Shipp, from the original 1990s The Flash TV series, appears in an unspecified role. Any guesses what that could be? We think either he's Barry Allen's Dad, or the original comic book Flash, Jay Garrick.
Hopefully The Flash will make it past the pilot stage and be picked up for a series. If so it will debut in the 2014/15 US television season on The CW.
