"Are you sure this home made colonic irrigation kit will work?"

Welcome to our daily round-up of the Doctor Who episodes which received their premiere broadcast on this day throughout the show's long history, along with anything else of note that may have taken place. You can click on any red text to read our full retrospectives/reviews for that episode, and note that all viewing figures listed are for UK broadcasts (unless otherwise stated).

February 6th
Today brings us two Who episode from the Classic years and a spin-off from this century. First up for February 6th we have episode four of the pure historical adventure The Romans (entitled Inferno) which was shown this day in 1965 and watched by 12 million viewers.

Two regenerations and 6 years later, the Third Doctor is not liking the look of the Master's home made colonic irrigation machine! *shudder* Quite how that fits in to the plot of episode 2 of The Mind Of Evil, you'd have to ask the 8.8 million viewers watching.

And let's finish up today with some Torchwood. From series two its Meat which was broadcast in 2008, just post the 9pm watershed, and was watched by 3.28 million viewers.

Join us again tomorrow for another round-up of the episodes broadcast, the spin-offs aired, the special events, the birthday's celebrated and anything else of note that went down on this day in Doctor Who history.
