Is CS:GO Dying in 2021? - The Unshatterable Facts

Yet again, CS: GO has been the talk of the town. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is one of the best FPS games available in the market to this date. The reason? Well, there are multiple ones. In the world of CS: GO, the game has been compared countless times with other FPS shooter games that it's ENOUGH! However, this gives birth to a new question.
"IS CS:GO DYING IN 2021?"
Let's find out. Whether we talk about social media or the normal conversation between the gamers, CS: GO has had mixed opinions throughout its lifetime. Released in 2012, CS: GO is still relevant to this date. For those of you who are saying that it's dying. THINK AGAIN!

Yet the trusted gamer of all time "SHROUD" says that CS: GO is dying. So, did we just miss something? Well, the response to Shroud was mixed. A lot of humor was involved, and Shroud's statement became the talk of the town once again. But let's talk about the facts. If you want a CS:GO boosting service, Eldorado offers it and more.

Is CS:GO Dying in 2021?
Even since the game came in 2012 it has been breaking records constantly. From becoming one of the best FPS games to being the most popular one, the hype is real. Even to this date, the game isn't dead. In fact, it is rather increasing in popularity.

Amidst this pandemic, CS: GO has opened opportunities for thousands of people to earn money from it. From tournaments to YouTube channels, there have been countless opportunities for gamers to follow their passion and earn money from the game itself.

Moreover, from 2016 to 2019, a report shows that CS: GO has increased to 27% more when we talk about its players. However, one thing is for sure. The game itself isn't as consistent as the others. Its popularity is pretty inconsistent in a lot of ways. But why exactly is that?

CS:GO vs The Competition
Games like PUBG, Valorant, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege put up a huge fight to remove CS: GO from the face of the earth. However, it just didn't happen. The likes of PUBG and Rainbow Six Siege just couldn’t attract the numbers needed, since players needed to buy CD keys to play the games. When we talk about Valorant, it's not the first time someone has compared a game with CS: GO.

Even though PUBG was one of the games that were ALMOST successful in pushing CS: GO off the cliff, it couldn't. However, PUBG to a big amount of users from CS: GO but I see something else here. When we talk about CS: GO vs the competition, there's one thing we need to think about. NOT EVERYTHING'S A COMPETITION.

For instance, look at Valorant. The game is compared with CS: GO, however, it's quite the opposite when it comes to the gameplay. Valorant focuses more on characters' abilities and speedy gameplay. However, CS: GO is a gun-heavy game where playing with guns is everything.

In January 2021, the average number of players for the month was 743,209. It was a 3.54% increase and it shows how the game is still not dead yet.

But really, it's more of the preferences at this point. Don't enjoy CS: GO? Try Valorant as it takes the whole experience to another level. If you don't enjoy a game with a lot of complexity, CS: GO is the way to go. Hence, the whole competition thing can be quite wrong sometimes as it just doesn't make sense.

But if we talk numbers, 2020 was the best year for Valve in terms of the player base. More and more players are trying to get into this game, and the competition is going nuts.

Why CS:GO has still GOt it?
Well, the skins and skills are what makes CS: GO such a nice game. It follows some of the sickest trade with a gameplay that is not going irrelevant any time soon. Hence, just take a look at GTA V. It was released way back in 2013. However, as they provide something different on the table for everyone. PEOPLE ARE STILL LOVING IT.

I'm not saying that CS: GO will never go irrelevant. It will when the time comes. For example, in the last 30 days, we have seen a decline of 0.49 percent of the player base.

My opinion on the whole situation is a little twisted. Hence, let's talk about the conclusion side of things.

The Final Verdict - WIll CS:GO die soon?
My answer to the whole situation is: It DEPENDS. Take the example of GTA V. As the game was about to go irrelevant, the sick mods with GTA Roleplay made it relevant for a longer period. It gave Rockstar games enough time to work on the newer GTA title that will be coming pretty soon.

Hence, Valve will have to try something over-the-top and different if they're trying to compete against the competition. Staying different yet unique is the key to success here.
