On this day in 1964 part three of The Keys of Marinus (titled The Screaming Jungle) was broadcast at 5.29pm and watched by a 9.9
million viewers. The only other episode to receive its premiere today in Doctor Who history came back in 1970 with episode 6 of The Ambassadors of Death
which was watched by 6.9 million.
