DOCTOR WHO - which character is returning for series 8?

Filming continues on series 8 of Doctor Who, and God bless the internet because pretty much anything that goes on in public finds it's way out to the rest of the world.

Some fan shot footage of Wednesday's recording session in Cardiff Bay shows an actor who has already appeared in Doctor Who. He had a prior uncredited role in the minisode, Vastra Investigates, but from the footage below it seems he's back for more.

The actor is Paul Hickey, this was him in the minisode...

...and here he is filming a scene yesterday...



Thanks to Rob McCarthy for bringing this to our attention. Apparently his character is called Inspector Gregson. We expect this is a scene for episode 1 of series 8, which we know features the Paternoster Gang.
