It's another DOCTOR WHO series 8 guest star

"Look over there Jenna, that's whatshisname isn't it?"

Doctor Who series 8 stories are coming thick and fast now. Yesterday it was the news of the Daleks returning for their annual outing and today we've got a new guest star, plus their character name.

Episode's 1 and 2 of the new season are being directed by Ben Wheatley. We've reported plenty of rumours and set pictures from the opening episode, written by Steven Moffat, but little has been known so far for Episode 2, apart from that it is written by Phil 'Waters Of Mars' Ford.

Today though, we've heard that long time Wheatley collaborator, Michael Smiley will guest star in the episode reportedly playing a character named Colonel Blue.

Michael Smiley previously appeared in Wheatley movies, Kill List and A Field in England, you may also remember him from Spaced when he played bicycle-riding raver Tyres O'Flaherty. More recently he popped up as Reverend Green in The World's End.

Is it just me or is series 8 shaping up quite nicely?
