With filming well underway for Peter Capaldi's first series of Doctor Who, one of the things we'd yet to see was the new Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver. Until now that is.
Peter Capaldi was caught on set Monday night filming new scenes for episode 3 of the series due to air later this year. Not only do we get the first glimpse of his Sonic Screwdriver as Capaldi runs up and down Bute Strees in Cardiff whilst dressed as a factory worker (must be a disguise, unless he's got a second job working nights?), but we also get a glimpse of what I assume is a new 'monster' with glowing blue eyes.

It looks very similar to the Sonic that Matt Smith had, but Capaldi doesn't seem too comfortable with it yet and is holding it a bit strangely. What do you think?
