The Big Bang Theory, Back To The Future: Jules Verne Train and two Doctor Who sets are amongst the contenders currently under review at LEGO Ideas.
The list of the six projects to make it to the Winter 2014 LEGO review stage has been announced. Amongst them are some fantastic geek-themed sets (but then isn't all LEGO geek themed really?), including The Big Bang Theory set seen above, and a very cool looking Back to the Future III: Jules Verne Train.
We've been talking a lot about the prospect of finally seeing some LEGO Doctor Who (especially after CUUSOO opened the doors for submissions) and that day may be coming soon, because not one but two very nice looking sets have made the shortlist, both Doctor Who and Doctor Who and Companions. I'm leaning towards the latter of the two, but quite frankly I'd happily take either!
The final two projects up for review are the LEGO Bird Project and an interesting, but rather bizarre, LEGO version of a Modular Apple Store...
The LEGO Review Board, composed of designers, product managers, and
other key team members, will now evaluate each project based on the
original LEGO model design, the concept and the audience that will
potentially purchase the product. The evaluation also looks at factors including playability, safety,
and fit with the LEGO brand as well as securing any necessary licence
agreements.
The results of the Winter 2014 LEGO Review are expected in the coming weeks. Which one of these sets would get your money? I know right? All of them!!!! DAMN YOU LEGO!!!
