Brad Wilson gets caught up in the London chaos and brings us his review of 24: Live Another Day 5pm to 6pm.
I’m fighting the urge to talk about next week’s episode, because it looks awesome. But you clicked on this story to see my review of 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. hour. So, that’s what I will give you.
I’m fighting the urge to talk about next week’s episode, because it looks awesome. But you clicked on this story to see my review of 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. hour. So, that’s what I will give you.
I’m going to start a
little differently this time: with a couple of subplots. First, Agent
Navarro.
I’d like to give a
shoutout to Warped Factor reader “Nailbiter” who commented on my article from last week saying the man on the phone with Navarro at the end
of the 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. hour was Adrian Cross. Turns out, IT TOTALLY
WAS!
Since I didn’t catch
onto that last week, I was very surprised. What a cool twist! Why was
Navarro selling secrets to Cross? Who is Cross working for? So. Many.
Questions. And now, Jordan is injured because he was hitting a little
too close to home. This is such a juicy subplot and I want to know so
bad why Navarro would frame Agent Morgan’s husband. Clearly before
the season ends Kate will find out and her husband will be cleared.
Or, at least I assume so. I wonder if Chloe knew about that? This
will be interesting to watch unfold. And who were those people
looking for her? Gah! I love this show!
Now, the other subplot
going on is Mark’s deal with the Russians. I’m not sure, but I
don’t peg Mark as an honorable man who’ll go to jail for treason
(forging President Heller’s signature). So, I think he may use the
president’s illness against him. Maybe try to convince Heller he
signed the documents, but just doesn’t remember? Seems a little out
there, I know, I’m just not sure how that storyline will play out.
I haven’t heard anything about another season after this one, so
maybe Jack does go with the Russians? Surely not, but who knows.
Now that I’ve covered those, let’s move on to the larger storyline. How f*&king crazy Margot Al-Harazi is. First of all, how cool was that chase scene. Jack out running/maneuvering/thinking a drone? Now, I’m not well versed on how drones work, but it seems a little farfetched it would be that easy to fire missiles at different targets. Anyway, I guess brotherly love only goes so far. I mean what a messed up family. Jeez. Meanwhile, Simone is all holier than thou with Jack, so he inflicts a little pain. I don’t why he apologized to Kate, Simone is responsible for many deaths and her lack of cooperation could mean more deaths. He should’ve taken the rest of the finger! It looks like Simone may end up having a change of heart, since we saw that shot of her seeing the devastation of a missile attack. I guess we’ll find out, won’t we?
After narrowly escaping
several missile hits, Jack manages to outwit Ian, by using a decoy
car. Simone is in bad shape, but at least they’re all alive. And
that poor little girl! Yasmine. Her mother dies at the hands of her
aunt, then she’s just yards away from an exploding hospital, jeez.
Really, the only thing
left is the fact Heller seems to be ready to turn himself in. It’s
not really a hard choice if you think about it. His illness is about
to be made public, thanks to the Brits (thanks a lot guys). He just
witnessed two drone attacks. One took out CIA agents, the other was
to a hospital. He’s realized how nuts Al-Harazi is and he wants to
stop the bloodshed. An admirable gesture.
I really want to talk
about how excited I am for next week, but I’ll save it and let it
all out then. Until next week 24 fans!
