Since LEGO ideas (formally LEGO CUUSOO) lifted the ban on Doctor Who Lego set submissions there has been some impressive designs put forward (not least here and here), but nearly all of them have been based on the revived post-2005 Doctor's, whereas for this one we're going back to where it all began.
Master builder Concore has designed this very nice Lego Doctor Who: An Unearthly Child set. This set includes the entrance to 76 Totter’s Lane, where the First Doctor parked his TARDIS so his granddaughter Susan could visit the local Coal Hill School to learn about the twentieth century. Her strange unworldly behaviour intrigues two of the staff members; history teacher Barbara Wright and Science teacher Ian Chesterton, who decide to visit Susan at home, only to find Susan entering the mysterious junkyard!
The proposed set would come complete with four minifigures; the First Doctor (played by William Hartnell), his granddaughter Susan (Carol Ann-Ford), Ian Chesterton (William Russell) and Barbara Wright (Jacqueline Hill). Plus the Doctor Who: An Unearthly Child LEGO set would also include the TARDIS...
It's only been online a few days but I think this is a great project and definitely worth supporting on LEGO Ideas. So pop over and give it some love... because I want one!!!.
