One of the great things about the internet is how people can react to something so quickly. Just look at the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, not 24 hours had passed and there were parodies and memes galore. From LEGO reconstructions to re-imaginings if other directors had been responsible - the best of which being one from the Daddy of the Force, George Lucas...
...A trailer so scarily good you could believe the old hairy one had knocked it up himself.
Sticking with Star Wars, and adding a little bit of Doctor Who to proceedings, check out this amazing fan made mash-up video that gave the genre crossover I've always dreamed of...
Next is this. Because why on earth would you not depict all 13 Doctors as dogs? Or Dog-tor's if you will! David Tennant's long haired chihuahua was great but Peter Davison's Labrador won it for me.
Before 2014 old people on calendars tended to be limited to Cliff Richard's latest shirtless collection <shudders>, but someone in an old people's home thought it would be fun to produce a calendar full of pensioners recreating famous scenes from movies. And they were right! It was awesome!! We had scenes from Titanic, The Blues Brothers, Dirty Dancing and James Bond...
...just recently a new 2015 one came along. This time featuring Grease, Star Wars, Reservoir Dogs and Harry Potter...
...Gotta love that Hagrid on his motorised scooter!
Breaking Bad may have finished in 2013, and Frozen is a year old now, but this amazing parody video called "Do you want to build a meth lab?" seriously wins the internet...
...the line "Badger's asking where you've been" is the work of genius.
Let's go all the way back to January and something a bit different, but amazingly clever. A guy called Sairam Gudiseva wrote a paper on Quantum Physics, in it he very cleverly managed to subliminally 'Rick Roll' his physics teacher by embedding the lyrics to Never Gonna Give You Up one word at a time on the start of every line...
Michael Bay unleashed his latest series of explosions this Summer in the form of Transformers 4, spawning a new Reddit thread with users basically adding unnecessary explosions into everyday GIFs. And they were all spectacular...
Another thing from Reddit came in the form of some amazing Facebook cover/profile picture mash-ups by user Nikki. From Sherlock to Star Trek, Adventure Time to Altered Beast - they were all amazing, check them out...
Now for some Game Of Thrones, and young Joffrey's legacy lives on with this listing in the Urban Dictionary. I'm not sure it's correct, but it certainly made me laugh...
More from the Seven Kingdoms in the form of photographer Karen Abad's brilliant photos. She 'borrowed' her friends baby, dressed her up and created some amazing shots of her favourite shows. The Breaking Bad style baby Walter White was exceptional, if slightly disturbing, but the best of the bunch was the baby Khaleesi...
LEGO mania went into overdrive when the LEGO movie was released, and this very clever commercial break, featuring LEGO Vinnie Jones, LEGO Lenny Henry and a whole lot more, was a great bit of cross-promotion...
Here's another fantastic bit of cross-promotion. This time for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and a car company. It's the movie trailer remade with kids...
I'm not sure if Roger Hargreaves would totally approve of this next one. We've all read a Mr. Men book at some time, but if you grew up in the 70s or 80s then you probably have fond memories of the original Mr. Men cartoons narrated by Arthur Lowe. They were quaint and very British, and it's those cartoons that inspired this rather splendid tale of Mr White. Honestly, cooking meth has never been so adorable!
One final hilarious mash-up video for you. This one took the excitement of the Winter Olympics and the playability of Mario Kart to create a sport which I'd certainly pay to watch....
...I demand they include this sport in the 2018 Winter Olympics!
I've saved what I think is the best for last. Whilst the world was waiting for Peter Capaldi to step out of the TARDIS for the first time, a youTube user 'discovered' this old clip from a Japanese version of Doctor Who!
The 3-minute 'found' video spoof sees 'Dr. Who' walking through the woods when he’s set upon by 'Dalekor' and a gang of Kung fu-knowing Cyber Men. Dr. Who then puts on his fightin’ suit and uses his trusty Sonic Screw Sword. Genius...
