What connections can we find for this day in Doctor Who history?

Welcome to our daily round-up of the Doctor Who episodes which received their premiere broadcast on this day throughout the show's long history, along with anything else of note that may have taken place. You can click on any red text to read our full retrospectives/reviews for that episode, and note that all viewing figures listed are for UK broadcasts (unless otherwise stated).

June 29th
Sadly no actual episodes of Doctor Who have received their premiere on this day, but there are a few things of note to mention...

Related Programming
2006 and 2007 saw the twelfth episode of Totally Doctor Who broadcast on the CBBC channel. This was for season one and two respectively. The earlier episode spoke with Abisola Agbaje, who played Chloe in Fear Her, the latter included the final installment of the Doctor Who animated adventure The Infinite Quest.

Birthdays
Up there at the top of the page is Katherine Jenkins who was born this day in 1980. She played Abigail in A Christmas Carol. Joining her in celebrating their birthday on June 29th is...

...Maureen O'Brien who played First Doctor companion Vicki. Born in 1943, her character filled the void created by Susan's departure and became something of a surrogate Grandaughter for old Firsty.

Happy Birthday to you!

Join us again tomorrow for another round-up of the episodes broadcast, the spin-offs, the special events, the birthday's celebrated and anything else of note that went down on this day in Doctor Who history.
