6 LEGO Ideas Sets We're Rooting For

LEGO Ideas is packed full of some very varied and ultra cool, er, LEGO ideas. All user submitted, and all hoping to get the 10,000 supporters needed to reach the review stage, and the possibility of making it onto store shelves. With that in mind, here are 6 very different submissions we've gotten behind and given our support to, and hope you will too...

LEGO Physics
Just approaching 7000 supporters, this quite awesome LEGO Physics set promises hours of entertainment.

First you have yourself an action packed marble run built from LEGO. Combine that with two hundred LEGO brick built dominoes and you've got a whole load of awesomeness. It’s a challenge every time you set it up. And it’s rewarding to watch the action happen, and you really need to watch it happen to appreciate it...

This Rube Goldberg machine from Christian Bechinie is one of the most original projects we've seen submitted to LEGO Ideas in a long time, and also one which just looks so much fun! Surely it deserves your backing? Read more about it here, and then pop over to the LEGO Physics Ideas page here and show this one some love.

SEGA Classic Arcade Machines
Grab a bag of quarters and relive those arcade days with these neat little LEGO build SEGA classic arcade machines. With Space Harrier, Out Run and Thunder Blade on offer, these minifigure-scaled replicas will look great displayed on your desk at work or home and are perfect for use in your Lego City!

It's a recent addition to LEGO Ideas, but has picked up 2000+ supporters in the first couple of weeks. Give this one a push by voting for it here.

Star Wars UCS X34 Landspeeder
Taking flight with 3800 supporters, this is how Luke Skywalker’s X34 Landspeeder might look like if it were brand new off the assembly line from the Sorosuub Corporation (via Lego of course) in UCS scale - that's 'Ultimate Collectors Series'.

At 2798 pieces (including the stand), this proposed build from Psyence aka Aaron Fiskum is a major set, and the attention to detail is fantastic. You can read more about it here, and then hover over to LEGO Ideas and give this one a vote.

Mini Tool Time
What time is it?
Time to vote for this LEGO Tool Time set.

Yes, it's a little LEGO-version of the popular show-within-a-show. Home Improvement was a great series, and it's hard to believe that 2016 will be the 25th anniversary since its first broadcast, so this could be a real timely way to celebrate the fact.

This set represents the Tool Time studio with loads of tooling equipment and details, along with 3 minifigures: Tim Taylor, Al Borland and Heidi. It's just starting to get some attention on LEGO Ideas, and as creator nunki-psi puts it "please support this project before Tim has burned it all down!"

Caterham Super Seven
At the time of writing this neat kit car of a kit car had just motored past 8200 votes, and is seemingly heading towards the final straight and clinching victory.

Caterham Cars themselves are fully behind this design, and it's not hard to see why. Clearly the construction of the proposed LEGO kit, by Bricktrix_Carl, has been a labour of love. He's already added several updates and amendments to the design, and plans on refining the proposal whilst it's still gathering support. A recent update on the design incorporated a linked steering assembly, so when one front wheel is turned, the opposite wheel turns with it.

You can read more about the Caterham Super Seven here, and vote for it here.

Brick Built Adventure Time Characters
Well we said this was an eclectic collection of ideas!

Submitted by aBetterMonkey, this proposal features many characters from the cult cartoon Adventure Time, all with the Lego treatment in the form of brick-built figures. They are sturdy builds with basic poseability, meaning they are more a toy/play set rather than a display model.

640 bricks make up the fifteen characters (with accessories), including Finn with his sword, Jake, Princess Bubblegum, Lady Rainicorn, Marceline with her axe-bass, BMO with joysticks, the Ice King with ice lightnings, Gunter, Lumpy Space Princess, Tree Trunks, Flame Princess, and more.

Currently this project has almost 9000 supporters, so you could really help it reach the final target by popping over to the LEGO Ideas page here.

Remember that a show of support for any proposed project at LEGO Ideas does not obligate you to purchase any product, it's just your way of telling LEGO you think the idea is cool and it's the kind of thing you'd like. So get behind these sets, and then get behind me in the queue to buy them!
