All week long Geek Dave uncovers some early embarrassing moments that stars would likely rather forget.
Most movie stars have the odd embarrassing role in their filmography. After all it's rare for any big star to have become a household name over night, often they've spent years paying their dues, taking what they can until that dream role propels them to fame.
But rather than just dig up an archive clip of a standard everyday bit part or appearances as an extra by one of today's big stars when they were young, I thought we'd take a look at some of the weirdest ones. And they don't come much weirder than this!
My apologies if this haunts you for the rest of your living days, but it's one of those things I believe everybody should watch at least once as it'll make you look at Jason Statham in a whole new light.
In 1992, 6 years before his big break in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, the Stath oiled up, donned a leopard print loincloth and shook his money maker in a video for the Shamen.
There is nothing else to say apart from press play...
Jason Statham is an absolute legend. He had, potentially, the most varied career of any pre-fame movie star you are likely to find as not only did his shake his stuff for The Shamen, and shake it like an absolute pro, he also popped up in a variety of other music videos, including one for Erasure where he utilised his skills from when he represented England at the 1990 Commonwealth Games! Yep, the Stath was a bonefide athlete back in the day. Not only that but he also turned his talents to the catwalk and even spent some time as a catalogue model for casual sportswear.
Uber talented! Uber successful!! Is there anything the Stath can't do? Apart from grow a full head of hair that is!
